The Golden Care Vintage Teak Colour Protector (Dark Brown) turns new teak into old teak, and maintains the dark-brown colour of old or reclaimed teak for a longer time. Also for other hardwoods. Matches your teak tables with the colour of your wicker chairs and cushions. Helps to hide sapwood.

Golden Care products are water-based and non-greasy. They do not contain hazardous VOCs, helping to provide better outdoor air quality compared to similar traditional care & cleaning products.

It is strongly recommended to treat the surface with Golden Care Hardwood & Teak Water-Repellent Shield to prevent stains after applying this protector.

Before using this product, eye protection and rubber gloves should be worn. Cover the ground under your work area before starting.

Grey teak or teak treated with teak-oil must first be cleaned with Golden Care Teak & Hardwood Cleaner & Colour Restorer.

New teak: first clean with Golden Care Teak & Hardwood Cleaner & Colour Restorer to remove some of the natural teak oils (or weather for 2 weeks outside before treatment).

If cleaned wood feels rough, sand lightly before treating with this protector. Make sure the teak is 100% dry and free of dust.

Shake and stir this protector at least a minute before use. Insufficient shaking can lead to uneven weathering.

We suggest you try this protector on a small area first (e.g. the back of a leg) to judge if the colour meets your expectations.

Apply a very thin layer of this protector evenly over the furniture with a dust free cloth. Apply a 2nd very thin coat after 30 minutes drying time.

It is recommended that you treat your furniture with this protector at least once a year.
